About James

I trained at the Raworth College in Dorking, Surrey and qualified with a Diploma in Advanced Clinical Sports Therapy in 1999.
In 2002 I trained at the Bodyharmonics centre in Cheltenham where I qualified as a Master Practitioner in Tui-Na.
Following this in 2005 I went on to train in Pilates where I learnt to teach mat work and in 2006 learnt to teach the Pilates Reformer.
In 2007 I trained as a SCENAR Practitioner in North London with Viviane Constad.
Also in 2007 I became very interested in Myofascial Release where I did a workshop with James Earls, who works closely with Tom Myers in the traditional approach.
Since then in 2008 I have done a workshop with Dr Levy where I learnt Neuromuscular Re-education, and also did a workshop with Ruth Duncan in modern Myofascial Release. I use Myofascial Release and Neuromuscular Re-education in the clinic to date as I find it is the most effective way to treat musculoskeletal pain, sports injuries and postural related problems.

I am a member of the Federation of Holistic Therapists (FHT) where they have strict codes of ethics and high standards of care. This is to protect the patients’ privacy and ensure practitioners are professionally qualified and insured.

As part of the registration to Federation of Holistic Therapists, I'm required to be first aid trained and complete a total of 10 Continual Professional Development points a year.

My current interest is in myofascial release and visceral manipulation where I'm continuing my knowledge and hands on skills over the next year.
